Start here

  • Player#

Anyone holding about $1 or more of $TOWER, in their wallet, as chips or in Stonk Market shares. Players can build, bet, trade and earn.

    Getting in
  • Spectator#

Anyone looking around without a wallet that holds the token. Spectators can walk, chat and watch, but not play for chips.

    Getting in
  • $TOWER#

The game's token on Solana. Holding it gives you a building in Stonk City, and the more you hold, the taller it is.

    Welcome to Stonk City

Chips and your tower

  • Bonus chips#

Free chips from the city's welcome and rewards, for playing. Play them through and they become chips of your own.

    Chips
  • The Cashier#

The city's chip desk, on every page: get chips with $TOWER, SOL or USDC, and cash chips out as $TOWER, one for one, less the transfer's network cost. Only unlocked chips cash out: locked chips (contract pay, yield and wages) have to run through the city first. A cash-out that is still waiting can be cancelled.

    Chips
  • Chips#

What everything in the city is priced in. Each chip is a $TOWER the treasury holds for you: you build, bet, buy and trade with chips, and cash them out as $TOWER, one for one.

    Chips
  • Collect#

Moves the yield waiting at your tower into your chips, and keeps your tower lit.

    Your tower
  • Company floor#

A floor with a real company moved in (NVIDIA, Apple, Tesla…). It earns more, and follows its company's day.

    Companies and the market
  • ContractX#

The paid-work app on your phone. The city's companies post contracts out of their takings; every contract is a race, and the first to deliver is paid in chips, plus XP by its grade. Any player can join any contract.

  • Dormant floor#

A company floor above your foundation after you sell $TOWER. It keeps its company and level, earns nothing, and wakes up when you grow back.

    Your tower
  • The fee buy#

Every 15 minutes most of $TOWER's trading fees buy $TOWER on the market. Those tokens are the towers' yield; the treasury keeps the rest of the fees.

    The city economy
  • Floor#

A storey of your tower. $TOWER builds floors; a company moved into one makes it earn far more.

    Your tower
  • Floor under construction#

The part of a floor your foundation has not finished yet, drawn with a crane. It earns its part while it is built.

    Your tower
  • Foundation#

What your floors are built from: the $TOWER in your wallet plus the chips you hold (never Bonus), plus your Stonk Market shares at what they would sell for now.

    Your tower
  • Level#

How far a company floor has been upgraded. Each level makes it count for more, and costs more than the last.

    Companies and the market
  • Lit#

A tower whose owner collected recently. Only lit towers share the yield pool.

    Your tower
  • Streak#

Hours in a row your tower stayed lit. A longer streak makes your floors count for more.

    Your tower
  • Takings#

What one of the city's businesses took in a day (the casino: its net). A share funds its contracts, a share of the rest pays its shareholders, and the treasury keeps what is left.

    The city economy
  • This hour's pool#

The slice of the yield pool paid out in one hour: a share to the wage pot, the rest split between the lit towers by what their floors count.

    The city economy
  • Today's move#

How much a real company's stock is up or down today. Its floors earn more on a green day and less on a red one.

    Companies and the market
  • Vacant floor#

A floor with no company in it: the "for lease" office. It still earns a little.

    Your tower
  • Yield#

What your tower earns every hour: its share of the city's yield pool, paid in chips that arrive locked: play, invest or spend them once and they cash out.

    Your tower
  • Yield pool#

The $TOWER bought on the market with the token's trading fees and not paid out yet (the city's books also call it the yield float). A slice of it is paid out every hour.

The city

  • GPS#

Your phone's route to a place, a car or a friend: a line on the minimap and the street, and a beacon over where you're going.

    The map and its places
  • Server#

One copy of the street with its own crowd. Everyone in your server is out in the city with you; friends can join you in yours.

    Servers and the crowd
  • The street#

The city in 3D, walked, driven and flown, on a computer. The map is the same city from above.

Your phone and friends

  • Crew#

Your saved gang: a name, a [TAG] and up to a few friends who run gigs, contracts and gun runs together. Crews have their own boards, and show on plates, in chat and on the map.

    Crews
  • Crew of the week#

The best all-round crew this week: the best places added up across six of the crew boards, among crews that ran together at least once. A title, no prize.

  • Crew run#

A gig, a contract race or a gun run done with your crew. The pay is what the run pays alone, shared; the XP gets a boost for every crew-mate who counts, and a contract won as a team pays a bonus on top.

  • Friend#

Someone who accepted your request (or you theirs). Friends are gold with a star on the map, and can message each other.

    Friends and chat
  • Global chat#

The chat the whole city reads, from anywhere: the chat panel's first tab.

    Friends and chat
  • Player card#

A player's card: their name, tower and what they are up to, with Add friend, Mute, Block and Report. F opens the nearest one.

    Friends and chat
  • [TAG]#

A crew's two to four letters, in its colour, in front of every member's name: on their plate, in chat and on the map.

    Crews
  • The Whale shelf#

The city's numbered top pieces: five tower decorations and the two top cars, each made in a fixed number and never restocked. Sold from a City Rank.

The Stonk Exchange

  • Bond#

Chips locked on the Exchange for a few nights: a set payment every night, and your chips back with the last one.

    Stonk Bonds
  • City vote#

$TOWER holders vote on what the city builds next, one vote per token (chips, and shares at what they would sell for now, count as tokens held). The owner answers every result in public.

    IPOs and city votes
  • Dividend#

A business's payout to its shareholders, in chips: a share of what it took in, after its contracts.

    Dividends
  • Held all day#

Shares you held from 00:00 to 24:00 UTC without selling. Only these are paid that day's dividend.

    Dividends
  • IPO#

How a new company comes to the Exchange: one published price for everyone, a set window to ask for shares, small requests filled first.

    IPOs and city votes
  • Price curve#

How a company's share price is set: every buy moves it up a little, every sale moves it down. No order book, no house on the other side.

    Buying and selling shares
  • Share#

A piece of one of the city's businesses on the Stonk Exchange. Shareholders are paid dividends.

    Buying and selling shares
  • The Stonk Exchange#

The city's own stock market: shares in its businesses (the casino, the car dealer, the airline…), bought with chips.

    How the Exchange works
  • The Stonk Index#

One number for the whole Exchange: every company's price, weighted by its size, from 1,000 at the first listing.

    IPOs and city votes

The casino and the club

  • The bag#

The house's own $TOWER, counted every day at 00:00 UTC. It stands behind casino wins and free chips, and the casino's limits follow it.

    Fair play and limits
  • A break#

Closing the casino's tables to yourself for a day, a week, a month or for good. It can't be ended early.

    Fair play and limits
  • Daily loss limit#

The most you let yourself lose at the casino in one UTC day. A bet that could take you past it is refused.

    Fair play and limits
  • Provably fair#

Every result is locked in before you bet, and you can check it yourself afterwards, in your browser.

    Fair play and limits
  • Reality check#

A card every hour you play: how long you've been at it, how many rounds, and where you stand.

    Fair play and limits
  • Room#

One live table at the casino: one dealer, a few seats, everyone in it playing the same round.

    The casino floor
  • Small stakes#

A day the house is down a set share of its bank: every casino limit is cut to a fraction of normal until 00:00 UTC.

    Fair play and limits
  • Waitlist#

The line for a game whose rooms are full. When any seat opens, the first in line gets a few seconds to take it.

    The casino floor

Cars and racing

  • Combo#

Drifts, near misses and jumps strung together at the wheel. Each trick raises the multiplier; it banks when you stop, and a crash wipes it out.

    Driving and combos
  • Jets#

The Moonshot's cold-gas thrusters: hold Shift and it hops off the road for up to three seconds. The tank fills while you drive on the wheels.

  • Limited edition#

A car or aircraft made in a fixed number. Each buyer gets a serial, and when they're gone they're gone.

    Stonk Motors and your garage
  • Mini-turbo#

The boost you get for letting go of a charged drift. The hotter the charge (blue, orange, purple), the longer it lasts.

    Driving and combos
  • Nitro#

The Black Swan's tank of speed: hold Shift for a burst well past its top speed. Empty, it cools down and fills again by itself.

    Driving and combos
  • Slingshot#

The extra push you get for pulling out of a full slipstream to pass the car you were following. It lasts while you pass, then empties the bar.

  • Slipstream#

Sitting close and straight behind another player's car at speed. The SLIPSTREAM bar fills, and as it does your car may go a little past its own top speed. In the city only, not at the Speedway.

  • Starter car#

The Penny Hatch every tower is given free, in a colour of its own. It is yours to keep, and it isn't sold at the dealer.

    Stonk Motors and your garage
  • Street race#

A checkpoint race through the city's streets, for fun or for a pot of entries. The city takes a cut of a paid race's pot.

    Street races

Flying

  • Rental pass#

Stonk Air's hire of one aircraft for a set time, flown in its livery. Crash and fly again as often as you like while it runs.

    Planes and helicopters
  • Wanted stars#

What firing the fighter's rockets earns you. Enough of them and everyone sees you, then the city's air defence opens fire.

    The fighter jet

Police and the underworld

  • Bail#

Your way out of the lock-up early: the share of your fine for the time you have left to serve.

Chases, getting busted and the lock-up
  • The Burner#

Your phone's underworld app. Switch it on ("Go dark") to take drug and gun runs, for Rep and XP, and to hunt other carriers. Its fixer's jobs pay chips, as ContractX's contracts do.

    The underworld
  • Bust meter#

The ring that fills while the police have you boxed in or stopped. Full means you are busted, or pulled over if you stopped for them.

Chases, getting busted and the lock-up
  • Heat#

How badly the police want you, shown as stars. One is a cop's warning look, two is a chase; keep running in their sight and it climbs, star by star, to five.

    Heat and wanted stars
  • The lock-up#

Stonk County's cell block. Do your time there instead of paying a fine, or post bail to walk out early.

Chases, getting busted and the lock-up
  • Rep#

The underworld's own score, from runs and steals. It sets your title, from Lookout to El Jefe, and your place on the Most Wanted board. It buys nothing.

    The underworld

Jobs and venues

  • Aura#

Slow gold motes rising around a player of City Rank 40 or more; ice at 50. Its owner can switch it off.

  • City Rank#

Your level in the city, from 1 to 50, raised by the XP from jobs, gigs, contracts and runs. A new title every five ranks, from Street Rat to Godfather, and something earned at almost every rank: clothes, car extras, looks. It opens air cargo jobs, gun runs and the shop's scarce drops, and from a set rank it lifts your share of the daily wages. It does not change what your tower earns.

    City Rank
  • Gig#

A job that is always on and can be repeated: an open parcel, or a load of air cargo.

    Jobs and daily wages
  • Grade#

The letter a finished gig or won contract gets, S, A, B or C, for how fast and clean you drove it in the car you drove. It multiplies the run's XP and its wage share, never its chips.

  • Hustle#

A boost to your tower's share of the hourly yield, from the day's jobs. It lasts until a few hours after the next daily reset.

    Jobs and daily wages
  • Island Games#

The party games played from the screen on Arcade Island: six rounds of small games for two to eight players, free or for a wager.

    Venues
  • Mods#

Car extras earned by City Rank (rims, underglow, trim, plate, flames, horn), fitted in the Garage app's Mods. The body keeps the colour it was bought in.

  • Money Ball#

Stonk Courts' 60-second shooting game: five racks of five balls, the last ball of each worth two.

    Venues
  • Shift streak#

Days in a row on which you claimed at least two jobs. A shield covers a day you missed.

    Jobs and daily wages
  • Supply crates#

Building materials in your tower's storeroom, from tower jobs and the daily chest. Each takes a little off your next move-in or level-up.

    Jobs and daily wages
  • Title#

The name of your City Rank, one every five ranks: Street Rat, Hustler, Wheelman and on up to the Godfather at 50. It shows with its emblem on your plate, and you may show any title you've reached.

  • Wage pot#

The chips set aside for wages: a share of every hour's pool, beside the towers' share. Each day's pot is split between the players who worked that day and paid in chips after midnight UTC.

  • Wage share#

What one finished run counts toward the day's wages: more for a longer run, more for a better grade. A day's shares split the wage pot; a very long day counts for less.

  • Wages#

Your share of the day's wage pot, by the runs you finished that day (gigs, board jobs, contracts, Burner runs), paid in chips every night after midnight UTC. Your wallet needs a day in town.

  • XP#

Experience points, from jobs, gigs, contracts and underworld runs, multiplied by a good grade. They raise your City Rank.

    City Rank

Reference

  • The treasury#

The city's own wallets. They hold one $TOWER for every chip, what is set aside for players, and the house's own. The books are public.
