Your phone and friends
Friends and chat
The city is better with people you know. Add a friend and they're gold on the map, one press from a message, and never more than a server away.
- Friends are mutual
- Lines up to 120 characters
- Players write, everyone reads
Making friends
Four ways to ask
A friend request goes both ways: you're friends once they accept.
01On the street
Stand by them and press F for their card, then Add friend.02On the map
Click a head on the map: its card has Add friend.03Online now
The Friends app lists the players in the city, the casino, the club and the Speedway, nearest first.04By wallet or @handle
Paste a wallet address or an X handle at the bottom of the Friends app.
Where are they?
Find your friends
The Friends app says where each one is in a few words, and gets you to them.
- Message opens your private conversation with them on the phone, with a number when there's something new from them.
- Find puts a tracker on them. On the street, a pointer at the edge of your screen shows the way, a light stands over them, and Guide me sets the GPS. On the map, their head is ringed.
- Join shows when they're in another server: straight in when there's a seat, its queue when there isn't.
- Tower visits their tower; ×, pressed twice, removes them.
The tracker follows them through cars, buildings and leaving and coming back, until you reach them ("You found Ada") or press ×.
ChipSend
Send chips to a friend
ChipSend is its own app on the phone, on the home screen while the city has it switched on. Chips go to friends only: once you're friends, they're on its list.
- Pick a friend and type an amount. The screen shows what they get and the transfer fee before anything is sent.
- Send is pressed twice. Sent chips are theirs at once and can't be taken back. Bonus chips are never sent.
- Your friend gets a notification with the amount, wherever they are in the game.
- Find friends in the app opens Friends, to add someone new.
Bring someone in
Your invite link pays you every day
The Friends app has a card called Bring someone in: your own invite link, with Copy link and Share on X.
- Your cut: 10% of what the house keeps from everyone who joins from your link (its edge on their casino bets, the fees they pay on chip sends and the Exchange), for as long as they play.
- Paid every day, in chips, straight into your balance. Play them, or withdraw them as $TOWER.
- Free for them: their chips, their balance and their winnings are never touched. The house pays your cut out of its own.
- One level only: you earn from the people you bring in, not from the people they bring in.
- The card lists who joined from your link, what each has earned you, and why one isn't counted.
01They open your link
The site says who invited them, with Not you? Remove if it wasn't the link they meant. A link holds for 30 days after they first open it; the first link they open wins.02They sign in
With a brand-new wallet: an account that has already played can't join with a link, and nobody joins with their own.03They put in
Your cut counts from the day after their first deposit of $1 or more.
The chat panel
Who hears what
On a computer the chat sits in the bottom-left corner of the street. Press Enter anywhere to open it, and / to tuck it away or bring it back. Each tab is a different crowd; Global comes first.

Sending a line hands your keys straight back to the street. On a touch screen the chat is a pill that opens a sheet. Chat is text only.
Private
Messages: one conversation, two places
The chat panel's Messages tab and the phone's Chat app are the same conversations, with the same unread count. Read a line in one and it's read in both.
- Two views: the chat panel is the quick one, always there with Global and your recent conversations. The phone's Chat app is the full one: Phone in a conversation's bar in the panel brings it up there, and a message's notification on the phone opens its conversation.
- Who: two players who are friends. Stop being friends and the conversation stays, read-only: "You're no longer friends".
- Group chats: pick two or more friends under New for a chat of 3 to 8 (the chat calls it a crew). A member invites one of their own friends, who accepts before they see a thing. Anyone can leave. It's only a chat: your saved crew, with its tag and its runs, is Crews.
- Mute in a conversation's bar silences its notifications without leaving it.
Your peace and quiet

When a line doesn't go
What a blocked line looks like
Some lines are never sent. You see why under the input, and your words come back so you can fix them. Nobody else sees a thing.
- Links, wallet addresses and phone numbers.
- Anything that looks like a recovery phrase: "Never share it with anyone."
- Scams, slurs and abuse aimed at someone: "That message wasn't sent."
- Too long, too fast, or the same line twice.
- Strike 1Refused, not sent
- Strike 2Refused, not sent
- Strike 3Refused, not sent
- Mutedfor 30 minutes
In public chat (Global, Here, Race) a line refused for a scam, a slur or abuse counts a strike; 3 in a day and you're muted for 30 minutes, with how long left shown in the input. Friends, Crew and Messages never count strikes. Nothing harsher than that mute ever happens by itself.
